About PaceConverter

PaceConverter is a free running calculator website designed to help runners quickly convert pace, speed and estimated race times.

You can use PaceConverter to convert minutes per kilometre into miles per hour, kilometres per hour and estimated finish times for common race distances such as 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon.

The goal is to make running pace calculations simple, fast and easy to understand whether you are training for your first 5K or planning a marathon goal pace.

Editorial Policy

PaceConverter content is maintained by the PaceConverter editorial team. Calculator pages are based on pure distance, pace, speed and time formulas, while benchmark and guide pages are written as practical educational resources for recreational runners.

Last updated June 2, 2026 by the PaceConverter editorial team. Content is reviewed when calculator logic, race-distance data, benchmark ranges or public record references change.

Training and nutrition pages are general guidance, not medical advice, coaching prescriptions or individualized nutrition therapy.

How Content Is Built

Benchmarks

  • World Athletics record lists and event profiles for record-level references.
  • Public road and track race-result distributions for broad recreational ranges.
  • PaceConverter distance, pace, speed and split calculations from the site's running calculation library.

Training And Nutrition

  • Training guidance is written for recreational runners and organized by beginner, intermediate and advanced starting points.
  • Mileage and long-run ranges are intentionally flexible so runners can adjust for injury history, recovery, terrain and available training time.
  • Nutrition guidance focuses on practical race-day planning: familiar foods, carbohydrate timing, hydration and recovery.
  • Fueling needs vary by body size, sweat rate, climate, tolerance and expected finish time, so the guide favors ranges and practice over one fixed prescription.
